KitKat Returns as LEC Sponsor – The Esports Observer

KitKat joins the growing list of brand partners returning to the LEC for the 2021 season. The new campaign will be built around the slogan “Even the biggest champ needs a break,” with a new gaming-themed commercial spot airing to highlight the phrase.

“KitKat started with a pilot initially, with a relatively low level of activity;” said Riot Games head of sponsorships & new business EU Esports Alban Dechelotte in a release, “so it’s incredible that they have recognized the value of our partnership to the extent that they are now one of the major league esports partners across the LEC and local leagues and teams across Europe.”

The deal was secured by sports business agency SPORTFIVE.

This week the LEC has announced a number of returning and expanded partnership deals including Warner Music, KIA, Logitech G, Beko, Red Bull, Alienware, and Secretlab.

Earlier this week, KitKat also signed a partnership deal with Spanish organization Vodafone Giants.
