ELEAGUE to Host EA Sports FIFA 21 North American Online Cup Events – The Esports Observer

More esports are coming to basic cable and Twitch as Electronic Arts and ELEAGUE have come together to host and produce five EA SPORTS FIFA 21 Global Series events starting Jan. 9. The ELEAGUE FIFA 21 North America Regional Online Cup is part of the previously announced ELEAGUE and EA tournament and content partnership the two began in order to help engage fans of FIFA 21.

The first event, scheduled for Jan. 9, will be shown on Twitch and YouTube. Four more events will take place through May and will be shown on the aforementioned channels. 

While Twitch and YouTube will air the competitions in their entirety, ELEAGUE will “televise the best moments from the ELEAGUE NA Regional Online Cup tournaments through weekly episodes premiering on TBS in Summer 2021.”  

The FIFA 21 Global Series tournaments, including this North American edition, will allow players to compete for FIFA 21 Global Series Points to qualify for the season-ending FIFA World Cup, and prize money.
