Washington Justice and PenFed Credit Union Partner to Support Veterans – The Esports Observer


Overwatch League team Washington Justice has partnered with the PenFed Credit Union to support U.S. military veterans through the PenFed Foundation  The partnership is a donation campaign where the first 2,000 people who donate $20 USD or more to the organization will receive a digital code for the Origins Edition of Overwatch, redeemable on PC and valued at $59. The campaign runs through Jan. 20.

According to the announcement, the donations will be used by the PenFed Foundation to  “provide members of the military community with emergency financial assistance, help veterans achieve the dream of home ownership and support investments in veteran entrepreneurs.”

 The PenFed Foundation is a national 501(c)3 founded by the PenFed Credit Union in 2001 and has given out more than  $38.5M in financial support to “veterans, active-duty service members, families and caregivers” to-date. Additionally, the PenFed Foundation was the first national Veteran Service Organization to launch a COVID-19 emergency relief program for service members and veterans.

PenFed is a sponsor of  Washington Justice and has collaborated with the organization to host interactive and virtual experiences during Overwatch League matches at homestand weekends.
