Street Fighter Championship Capcom Cup will be Held live in Dominican Republic in February – The Esports Observer

The conclusion of Street Fighter’s two annual competitions Street Fighter League and the Capcom Pro Tour will be held in person in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, in February 2021. This will be the first live Street Fighter event in nearly a year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which shifted the Pro Tour online. This is the first time the Capcom Cup has been held in the Dominican Republic.

The event will be held at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino from Feb. 19-21. The competition will follow strict COVID-19 safety protocols including requiring a negative test result prior to arrival in the city and social distancing measures in the venue. Additionally, there will be no spectators or fan interaction during the competition.

The total prize pool for the event will be over $200K USD. Players will also receive a $1K participation fee.
