Riot Games Names Verizon Official Partner for First Strike Valorant Event – The Esports Observer

Riot Games has announced a new facet of its developing relationship with Verizon. The telecommunications company will serve as the official 5G wireless and network service partner for the upcoming Valorant championship event First Strike. Verizon is also currently a partner of the LCS and one of the teams participating in that league, Dignitas.

First Strike will cap off Valorant’s first year of esports competition, and Riot has already unveiled plans for a more robust competition structure going into 2021. Red Bull and Secretlab have already come aboard as partners for that circuit.
