ESPN Secures First Strike Valorant Broadcast Rights in Brazil – The Esports Observer

Disney-owned sports channel ESPN has secured the broadcasting rights for the Valorant First Strike tournament series in Brazil. The agreement with Riot Games also secures the appearance of the Valorant casters Bernardo ‘BiDa’ Moura and Nicolas ‘Nicolino’ Emerenciano, with analysis of Guilherme ‘Tixinha’ Cheida, Gustavo ‘Melão’ Ruzza, Leticia Motta, and Guilherme Spacca, and the reporter Evelyn Mackus.

The agreement comes after sources connected to ESPN confirmed to The Esports Observer the future shutdown of its esports editorial operations last month. For the Brazilian branch, although, TEOhas  learned that no steps were taken in the direction of closing esports editorial operations. ESPN has been normally covering esports in the country on its Brazilian channels and website with a team dedicated to the subject.

The tournament broadcasts will be held through the ESPN App and the ESPN pay-tv channels, starting Thursday.
