PUBG Corporation Partners With DreamHack for Tournament in the Americas

PUBG Corporation announced a partnership with DreamHack for a PUBG tournament involving North America and Latin America. The DreamHack PUBG Showdown Winter Americas will begin on Nov. 28, with open qualifiers for both regions. The 16 best teams will be playing the finals in 18 matches on Dec. 18, 19, and 20.

The finals will feature six PUBG teams from Latin America and ten from North America. The prize pool adds up to $15K USD to be split between the six best teams; $6.5K for first place, $4K for second, $2K for third, $1.1K for fourth, $800 for fifth, and $600 for the sixth.

The tournament seeks to boost the competitive calendar at the end of the year, once most of the official events have finished their seasons. The matches will be available on PUBG Corp’s official YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook channels.

This is not the first partnership between the two companies; PUBG has been part of a number of DreamHack events, including the DreamHack Open Austin in 2018
